Social Media
Work: Strategy & Content
Client: Dripping Springs Band Boosters
Media: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube
Result: ↑ 500% FB Followers, ↑ 400% Twitter Followers, Fundraising Goals Exceeded
We developed a strategy for Facebook that took page followers from 200 to 1000+. The revamped Facebook page was considered so valuable by members that we had to add a plug-in on the organization’s website to provide the Facebook feed to those without Facebook accounts.
We established a Twitter account as a means of promoting upcoming competitions, relaying results and providing breaking-news information to members in real time. To help members further connect with the program, we created an Instagram account to showcase images (which were cross-posted on Facebook) from practices, trips and competitions.
Both Facebook and Twitter were used to live-blog competitions for those who could not attend the band’s contests in person. Finally, we established a YouTube Channel to archive past shows, and promote the current year’s show and special events.
As a result of people feeling more connected to the program, we were able to exceed fundraising goals, enabling the Boosters to purchase a semi-trailer to accommodate the band’s growing needs.
